Some rules that you should know about the campaign:
All, including those released by Wizards of the Coast in their published supplements and their Unearthed Arcana.
All, including those released by Wizards of the Coast in their published supplements and their Unearthed Arcana, except for Psionics.
All and none. You are what you are; you’re not Chaotic Good, Lawful Evil, True Neutral, you’re just you. That being said, if you want to assign an alignment to your character, by all means do so. If it will help you role play or if you deliberately want to restrict yourself, give yourself an alignment. Another way to look at it is that your alignment is in constant flux and is based on your actions, not the other way around.
The god Hades has an alignment of Lawful Neutral in this campaign as opposed to the PHB’s listed alignment of Lawful Evil.
Spellcasters in this campaign assign their own verbal and somatic components to spells that they know, Two different spellcasters casting the same spell can do so completely differently and accomplish the same result.
If you want to cast a spell surreptitiously, you must succeed on a Performance check vs the other party’s Insight check, otherwise the other party will realize that something is up. (NOTE: The spell still takes effect even if the other party realizes that you had cast a spell.) To do this however, you will have to establish the verbal and somatic components of the spell beforehand.
If you feel that another person is casting a spell, you can attempt to make an Arcana check to determine which spell is being cast. Your past experiences with spellcasters will determine the DC and having that spell on your spell list will give you advantage on the check.
